AERIAL YOGA

Under the prism of philosophy and poses (asanas) of Yoga, it combines the game and the joy of Aerial Acrobatics with the dynamics of Fitness.

The course takes place with the use of special aerial fabrics (Swings & Hammocks) which hang from the ceiling.

Their use is manifold, combining exercises performed above, below and in the hammock. The benefits of the program are multidimensional and affect both the physical as well as emotional and mental level of the trainee.

The inverted poses, decompress the vertebrae, oxygenate the brain relaxes the heart. The aerial inversions offers a unique feeling of overcoming gravity, confidence, serenity and euphoria.

Also it reacts on a psychological level of practitioners helping them to overcome their fears as they  “see the world upside down”.  In many cases the trainees confront  their own selves discovering  hidden aspects of their personality and eventually become more self-confident.

As in classical Yoga program can be attended by people of all ages, regardless of body weight and fitness level through a wide variety of postures and variations.

Completing the Aerial Yoga Concept Teacher Training Level 1 & Level 2 by Studio One, the graduate will be qualified to teach courses Aerial Yoga Swings, Aerial Yoga Silks, Aerial Fitness, Aerial Acrobatics, Aerial Stretching & Relaxation.

COURSE OUTLINE

Aerial Yoga Silks is performed with the usage of special silk fabric (hammock), which is 2 meters wide and 5.5 meters length. The hammock is hanging from the ceiling with two steel safety carabiners.

Aerial Yoga Swings is performed with the usage of a special fabric which is 1.5 meters wide and 2.5 meters lenght, and includes 6 different length handles. The Swing is hanging from the ceiling at a relatively short distance from the ground.

* Aerial Yoga Swings training program is seperated, lasts 20 hours and requires the Aerial Yoga Silks 50 hours completion.

Practise

Aerial Silks Asanas
 
• Warm ups, standing asanas , handstands,  backbends, back straddles, hip   hangs, ribs hangs, advanced inversions, restorative poses.   
• Aerial Fitness and Flexibility, Advanced Acrobatics, Flips, Aerial flow.
• Teaching Aerial Silks Asanas in groups.

 

Aerial Swing Asanas
 
• Warm ups, standing asanas , handstands, basic backbends, basic inversions, sitting asanas, twists, restorative asanas.
• Combination of yoga asanas with aerial swing asanas.
• Aerial Swing Sun Salutation A & B.
• Aerial Swing Fitness and Basic Acrobatics.
• Teaching in groups.
• Breathing Techniques.
